    With over 40,000 flight hours, including 28,500 in turbine-powered aircraft and 9,100 in Learjets, I bring decades of experience and leadership to Inflight Medical Services International (Panther Aviation)

    As Chief Pilot and Director of Operations, I oversee air ambulance operations, ensuring efficient coordination of flight crews and seamless scheduling to provide critical care transport when it matters most.

    My passion for aviation began at Middle Tennessee State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Administration. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing operational excellence, maintaining FAA compliance, and upholding the highest safety standards in the industry.

    In my current role, I lead comprehensive pilot training programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement. I hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification, a Learjet Type Rating, and an FCC Radio Operator's Permit — qualifications that allow me to excel in managing complex flight operations.

  • Maintenance Director and Chief Mechanic

    With extensive experience in TPE331 engine management and aircraft maintenance, I serve as the Director of Maintenance. With 45-years in this role, I oversee the maintenance of our aircraft, ensuring strict FAA compliance and maintaining exceptional aircraft availability. By supervising a team of skilled technicians, managing schedules, and coordinating with vendors, I ensure that every aircraft operates at peak performance.

    My career has been defined by leadership roles in engine shop management. At Sentel Corp., Smyrna Air Center, and Intercontinental Jet Inc., I managed TPE331 engine shops, improving engine performance, reducing downtime, and mentoring mechanics. As a self-employed mobile technician, I provided specialized on-site maintenance services, further honing my problem-solving and diagnostic skills. I began my career as an engine shop mechanic with Garrett Aviation, where I built a strong foundation in TPE331 engine diagnostics and repair.

    Throughout my career, I have achieved significant milestones, including maintaining a 98% aircraft availability rate and reducing unscheduled maintenance by 20%. As an FAA-certified A&P mechanic with specialized TPE331 expertise, I am committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability in every operation.

  • Check Airman - MU-2B

    With over 22,100 flight hours and more than 30 years of experience flying the Mitsubishi MU-2B in corporate and FAR Part 135 operations, I’ve dedicated my career to aviation excellence. As a Certificate Check Airman for Panther Aviation and all U.S. FAR Part 135 operators utilizing the MU-2B, I ensure the highest standards of safety, proficiency, and operational efficiency.

    Beyond the cockpit, I have served as an FAA Pilot Examiner since 1973, holding certifications including PE, CIRE, FIE, and ATPE, as well as administrative certifications. My commitment to aviation safety has also led me to become a longstanding member of the FAA FAAST Team since 1974, contributing to pilot education and risk reduction efforts.

    In recognition of my dedication and service, I was honored with the prestigious FAA Wright Brothers “Master Pilot Award”, celebrating over 50 years of incident-free flying. Additionally, my expertise was called upon as an Ice Test Pilot for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries during SCR and FFFSCR testing in the early 1990s — a role that showcased my technical proficiency and leadership in aviation innovation.

    Contributing to the advancement of aviation standards has been a defining aspect of my career. I am proud to have served as an Associate Author and Consultant to the FAA for SFAR 108, FAR 91 Subpart N, and Advisory Circular 91.89, further promoting safety and operational excellence.

  • Physician Medical Director

    As the Physician Medical Director for Inflight Medical Services International (IMSI), I oversee the medical operations and protocols that support over 30,000 air ambulance flights. Providing clinical oversight, training, and consultation to our highly skilled flight crews, I ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care in the unique environment of aeromedical transport.

    My background as an Internal Medicine Physician in private practice has equipped me with extensive experience in managing both acute and chronic conditions. This comprehensive approach to patient care has been instrumental in shaping effective medical protocols for safe and efficient air ambulance missions.

    In addition to my leadership at IMSI, I have served as a Medical Consultant, advising organizations on medical protocols, patient safety initiatives, and quality assurance programs. My commitment to advancing healthcare standards has contributed to improved patient outcomes both in-flight and on the ground.

    As an FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), I bring specialized expertise in aviation medicine, further enhancing the safety and well-being of flight crews and patients alike.

  • Chief of Medical Operations

    As the Chief of Medical Operations at Inflight Medical Services, I oversee all air ambulance operations, ensuring the highest standards of flight transport, medical care, staff training, and continuous quality improvement. With a focus on delivering exceptional care in the air, I ensure that our flight crews are well-trained, equipped, and prepared to handle every situation that may arise during transport.

    My experience as a Paramedic with the Nashville Fire Department and with Cheatham County EMS and Robertson County EMS has provided me with a strong foundation in emergency care. These roles allowed me to respond to critical situations, providing advanced life-saving treatments under pressure, which laid the groundwork for my transition into aeromedical transport as a Flight Paramedic.

    Today, as a leader in the organization, I am committed to fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and excellence. I provide guidance and mentorship to our medical teams, ensuring they are well-prepared and continuously improving to deliver the best possible patient care during air transport.

    As a Tennessee Licensed Paramedic with specialized certifications, including ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and TCCC, I remain dedicated to advancing the standards of air ambulance care and ensuring that our teams are always ready for the critical missions we undertake.

  • Assistant Chief of Medical Operations

    As the Assistant Chief of Medical Operations / Flight Paramedic at Inflight Medical Services, I oversee and manage daily flight medical operations, ensuring that we provide optimal patient care during every transport. I focus on ensuring our flight crews are well-prepared to handle every situation with precision and efficiency, maintaining the highest standards of care throughout each mission.

    My career began as a Paramedic with EMS, where I responded to emergency calls and provided life-saving care under pressure. I later advanced to become a Critical Care Paramedic with the Fire Department, delivering advanced emergency care in high-stress environments. This experience laid the foundation for my transition to the field of aeromedical care as a Flight Paramedic with Inflight Medical Services, where I provided critical care during air medical transport missions.

    In my current role, I’m deeply committed to training and mentoring our flight crews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely. With years of experience in emergency care and a passion for air medical transport, I remain dedicated to improving the standards of care and safety for all patients during transport.
